History

Sheffield Township in Lorain County, Ohio, has a rich history dating back to its first inhabitants settling the area around 1815. The township was officially incorporated in 1824.  The township's governance is led by a three-member board of trustees and an elected fiscal officer. The school district in Sheffield Township is the Clearview Local School District.
